Why there probably isn’t one near you
Native cigarettes are manufactured at licensed First Nations facilities and sold by Indigenous retailers. Most of those retailers are on reserve, which for most Canadians means a drive of anywhere from thirty minutes to several hours.
There are roughly 630 First Nations communities in Canada, but tobacco retail is concentrated in a handful of territories — largely Six Nations of the Grand River in Ontario and Kahnawake in Quebec, where the manufacturing is.
If you’re in a city, there is almost certainly no native retailer inside it.
