The Backwoods cigars first hit the market nationally in 1981 and were an instant sensation. Their distinct structure and appearance – known as “WILD & MILD” – with a frayed end, tapered body, and unfinished head, captured the hearts of cigar enthusiasts.

In contrast to modern cigars that are precisely shaped and may compress tobacco unevenly, Backwoods are rolled loosely with even pressure. This results in a rustic-looking cigar that draws smoothly and evenly while delivering plenty of flavor.
